laughing is good

Top 15 Unintentionally Funny Comics.
This made me chortle for quite a while. Good times.

Life is... moving along, I suppose. Good days, bad days... and of course, lots of awkward days. Some days pondering deep questions like "How can a God of mercy destroy whole nations without exception?" or "How valid is the Bible considering it was compiled by humans, some books left out, some added?". And then other days, I ponder even deeper questions like "How many polishes from Maxwell's can I eat and still attain 300-isque abs?" or "If I burp, sneeze and fart at the same time, but no one else is around to see it, does it still count as being the most awesome thing ever?".

The summer job search finally ended. As of May, I will be working for the Attorney General of Chicago under their Special Litigation Bureau of Public Interest. What all this means, I do not know. But I hope they let me carry like a nightstick or something to whack baddies with. Sometimes I wonder if as I get older I get more mature. Some days it seems a little backwards. But I don't have much time to consider these questions, because I need to practice hackey-sacking and moonwalking.

Still trying to figure out what to do with a few weeks of vacation this summer. I think my friends and I decided to take a road trip across this grand ol' country; visiting such wondrous things as the biggest ball of twine in the world, wigwam motels, cheeseheads, pothole stateparks, and the world's largest rubber stamp! Let the fun begin.

...

Me: Hey Jake, do you know where the laundry card is? I can't find it anywhere.
Jake: Um... yeah. It's inside the book in the bathroom.
Me:What?
Jake: Inside the book. Go check.
(after finding our laundry card inside a copy of Michael Lewis's Moneyball)
Me: Who the heck puts a laundry card inside a book?!

I scoured the apartment for that card. Seriously, who puts something like that inside a book. Jake, you so crazy.

explosions

got a copy of the new Explosions in the Sky album early. Sweetness. It sounds good so far. They are coming to Chicago in March... man, music is so awesome. Check this guys out if you all get the chance, one of my most highly recommended bands of late. And what more, I think their music requires the kind of patience we don't see enough of in this day and age. With songs up to 12 minutes long, this is the kind of music you need to just sit down and listen to without distractions. Perhaps with a good pair of headphones or speakers.

Speaking of a fast paced society... McDonalds had Big Macs or Quarter Pounders w/ Cheese 2 for $3. I succumbed to the temptation and bought two quarter pounders in between classes. I wolfed them down within like five minutes and felt sick afterward. Maybe I should counter their effects with White Castle... genius!
